PTSC invests in purchasing a 7,080 BHP AHTS vessel.
At 15:30 on 17th June 2015 at the Head Office of PetroVietnam Technical Services Corporation (PTSC), the representatives of Greatship (India) Limited has officially signed the handover protocol of M/V Greatship Akhila to PTSC.
The purchase contract was signed between parties on 27th April 2015 and the vessel was procured on the basis of international open competitive sale offer.
The M/V Greatship Akhila built in 2009 in Indonesia has the capacity of 7,080 BHP. The vessel is equipped with a dynamic positioning system DP-2 with high mobility, meeting all requirements for oil & gas exploration and production activities. The vessel is 63 meters length overall, 15 meters breadth moulded, 6.1 meters depth moulded, deadweight of 1,639 tons, maximum speed of 13.9 knots. After being handed over to PTSC, the vessel name will be changed to “PTSC Tien Phong” and will start to move from Singapore to Vietnam on 19th June 2015 to implement the contracts. With this purchase of PTSC Tien Phong, PTSC has increased its fleet to total of 23 service vessels.
PTSC’s marine services have achieved great strides over the last couple of years, affirming PTSC’s position as one of the leading marine service providers in Vietnam. PTSC targets to develop its vessel fleet to a number of 100 vessels by 2025, providing for the entire domestic market and gradually expanding its services to other countries in the region./.
